The Georgia Forestry Commission seems to be having a busy year with stretched physical and financial resources, topped off by Georgia National Guard backup units exhausted and famished with ongoing missions to Iraq, Kuwait, and Afghanistan. At least we've still got Smokey The Bear fighting forest fires.

It's been a rough year with the forest fires. Hopefully 2008 will bring better luck...
